Simple Series Circuit with Prediction Lab
Simple Series Circuit with Prediction Lab
This program will allow you to examine the relationship between the resistance in a circuit and the amount of current that flows through the circuit.

After you have discovered the relationship, you will use this to make predictions on things you haven't measured.

When you are ready to start the lab, hit begin.

You should change the number of identical resistors in your circuit to see how the number of resistors in series affects voltage and current.

You will not be able to change the value of your resistors.

Collect enough data to produce a meaningful graph and then hit 'Finished' to test your results and predictions.

Create a graph with current in Amps on the y-axis and the resistance in Ohms on the x-axis.

Enter the graph constant for your graph. This should be the voltage of your battery

Then use the equation for your graph to find the current when the resistance is 555 Ω. Make sure to enter your current in mA.

Finally, find the resistance needed to create a current of 25 mA.
