Energy Loss Lab
This lab will let you look at the energy lost as a ball bounces from different heights. You will be able to change the type of ball, the height from which it is dropped and the acceleration due to gravity in the region of the universe you are dropping the ball.

Measure the height of the ball from the ground to the bottom of the ball. Calculate the potential energy of the ball before it was dropped and then when it reaches its maximum bounce height. Then calculate the energy lost to the bounce

Make sure you record the starting height of the ball and calculate the potential energy gravity before you drop the ball

Use the controls on the scissor lift to change the height

Change gravitational field or the type of ball

Click on the ball to drop it
