Energy/Momentum Ballistic Pendulum

You will be presented with a object hanging from a string from the ceiling of a room. A ball will be fired into the box and the box will swing back to a certain angle. You are to use the maximum displaced angle, the mass of the box and ball, and the length of the string to determine the initial speed of the ball.

When you are ready to start the problem, click on the Begin button and when you have finished your calculation hit End to submit your results.

To find the original speed of the ball, click on the ball and measure the greatest angle achieved by the box.

When you are ready to check your answer, hit the "End" button.
