Distance Traveled (Fired by a Spring)
KE to Oscillation
In this problem an object will be placed against a spring and the spring will be compressed. The object will then be fired by the spring and move across a surface with friction. You are to use the work-energy theorem to find the distance traveled by the object as it moves across the surface. Ignore any energy loss that occurs when the object is in contact with the spring.
