2-D Momentum Conservation
A Kuiper Belt Object (KBO) will be heading toward your ship. When it gets within range, fire a small explosive charge at the KBO. If you hit it, the object will explode into two pieces will travel off in two different directions (Assume negligible momentum was added to the system by the device)

You are to figure out the original speed of the object based on the information given after your successful hit

Allow the object to get within target range and then click on your ship to launch a small explosive device at it to break it into two parts

Do not let the object get too close to the ship
